My civil war Reenacting Gear, 20th Maine Co-G Impression
Despite this regiment being one of the United States Army, many Maritimers went to Maine to join up and fight for the adventure. My ancestor actually served in the Confederate Army, having left the family farm in the Musquodoboit Valley and took a ship to the Southern States. The family learned later that he was lost in the Siege of Fredricksburg.
